I have finally, after nearly a year of pondering, decided on how to make a quilt using one of Laurel Burch's horse fabrics.

Here are my practice blocks. The 'window' is 6-1/2" (cut) the 'sashes' are (cut) 2", and the dark sash is cut 1-1/2".

I have gone over nearly every pieced block known to mankind, using every color of the spectrum, trying to get this one right. This was really a challenge, and now on to finishing the quilt !! Which I will do this winter in AZ while we are on our winter sojourn in the milder climes.

I've raised horses most my life, so of course, I would love this. Really like your choice of colors.

    Happy Holidays

I have several pieces of her fabrics and too have wondered the best way to show them off. This a great idea. I need to put that on my to do list. Figure out what to do with mine. Good job.

Wish I had that fabric, my dgd is a nut for horses - just as I was at her age.
