Just picked this up to quilt for hospice and when I opened it up it looks like swastikas to me... can anyone suggest a way to quilt it so that it doesn't look like Hitler designed it?

    LOL!
Those 2 blocks with the purple in it are really the culprits.

The other ones would probably be okay on their own.

Maybe heavy feathers/wreaths (and I hate feathers) going in a counter clock-wise direction to offset the rotation.

Use poly batting - all you see is the quilting - not the quilt top.;-)

Or colored thread (purple on the yellow fabric) maybe it would all blend together.

Sorry, I keep laughing at your op. ;-)

    It's a nice thing you're doing.

Maybe put a simple applique to take the eye away from blocks. Personally I would not worry about it.

I agree, do something circular to draw attention away from the straight lines. I would also use a thread that will really show up.

Now now, that pattern doesn't belong to Hitler. He stole it from the quilters. It is a genuine quilt block.....but of course, it's not a pleasant block now.

The one with the yellow in it needs a distraction. Applique a big heart on top of it to break it up! Please show us what you do!

I really think once it is quilted and on a bed, it isn't going to look like it.
