    Thank you for all the nice comments. I left the quilt on my friend's desk and had to leave before she opened it, so I don't know yet what she thought of it.

    Since my quilt was small, after I washed it and put it in the dryer for about 10 minutes, I took it out while it was still damp and pinned it to my design board (foam board covered in felt). and let it dry. I just wanted to get the 'waves' out of the quilt edge and have it dry flat. I don't do this with every quilt but this one was small enough to do without any trouble.
