    I would take one row off and make one more block, then it would be square, as many baby quilts are

    @2Doods-

    It looks FABULOUS! :thumbup:

    And I really like your wonky letters - please share the source for the alphabet.

    Great job!!

    And despite my rendition, it was all your idea.

    Which I'm now stealing to make a quilt for my friend's baby.
    His name is Alexander - although now I wish it were Sam. :roll: ;) ;)

    I agree. Would add width and a special touch.

    ROFL...can you use Alex? Or maybe his initials?

    I found the letters on this site:
    http://www.thequiltercommunity.com/Wcfd297397c0cb.htm

    They are paper pieced but pretty simple. I made the whole strip including the hearts yesterday in about 6 hours. That included the "What am I doing?" time and "What color should be where?" and the "Where did that fabric go?" I put away all the fat quarter leftovers before I was finished! If I had all the time back that I spend looking for lost things, I would be young again :lol:

    I had that happen before - I ended up taking a row off so it wasn't so long - I like the idea of the name on the side too!
