    I was ghoing to suggest the above method in England we call it bagging or bagging out. Then sew a all aroung using the buttonstitch on machine,

    You have two choices from what I can see. Either do 1/4 inch binding doing all the angles as you go (a lot of work) or you can use the "birthing method." If you decide to go with the birthing method, lay your hexagon piece right side down onto a larger piece of the right side up dark purple fabric for backing. Machine stitch along all the hexagons, leaving a section open for turning. Clip all the inner/outer directional changes and turn right side out. Press with a iron until everything is how you like it and then top stitch the edge. The reason I said to use the dark purple for the backing is that if the edge isn't perfect, it will be less noticable.
