I can deceide how to finish this quilt, it's for a friends baby due in a few weeks.

A-should I just quilt it and use the red for the binding

B-Do a thin red border then a 1 block border or the monkey faces

    Thanks
    Ginger

I would put a red border on it, quilt & add red binding. The monkey faces detract from pinwheels IMHO. Perhaps you could incorporate that fabric on the backing.

It's a baby quilt. They're supposed to be fun.

It needs that punch of color from the monkey faces, assuming all the blocks are same color as the pinwheel shown.

But I would switch the red and monkey faces, and then bind in the red. That way, you'd get all that color framed inside the border.

    Lucky baby!

I agree the monkey faces detracts in the way they are- too busy and bright - but you could cut them up into a four squares and space them with the lighter fabric around a red boarder to tie them together more. Then bind it with the red.

I like it without the monkey faces - the yellow detracts from the center since there is no yellow in there. I would use it for the back.
