I am amazed by your luck in your trawl through the charity(thrift) shops. I have loads near me, some of them charge almost as much for the clothes as if they were new, others just don't seem to have anything 100% cotton. I will have to try again and search more thoroughly. Unfortunately I cannot get to the car boot sales which I feel would yield a better result. Well done you!!!

Love the colours you have collected.
I was born in Scotland Sharon, just east of Edinburgh, Prestonpans to be precise!!

I thought you would have had more shops, it is so frustrating and expensive as you say!

There is one shop in Manchester city centre but it is not a dedicated quilting shop, there range is very limited too.

    Happy hunting everyone!

    :-D
Izy, do you know any of the Sinclair clan near Edinburgh? My grandfather was a Sinclair from there.

Sorry, I moved to England when I was 5 years old!! Most of the family still live there but I have no knowledge of Sinclairs, I will have to ask my Aunt when I chat next and let you know!!

I was shocked at how much the charity shops are charging nowadays since returning to the U.K. after 4 years living in Spain BUT it is still alot cheaper than quilting fabric prices, I visit one shop that sells everything for £1 each, picked up 10 garments on Saturday..just luck I suppose as I have been before and come away with nothing...

    Good luck fabric hunting!!

You have a good eye for fabric. I am going to have to make a trip to the Goodwill.
