    I like the technique. I have no dogs, but I use a cat! It still works just fine. Check avatar.

    Yes, that's the reason! I don't remember who to give credit to for this, but I read in someones blog to slide a marble under the layers to lift them off the floor. Makes pinning so much easier and saves the floor!
    I use a ping pong ball

    Nice! This is exactly how I pin but I only have 1 dog to hold the quilt down. Two seems much sturdier!!! :-)
