I have this rail fence pieced and ready to go. My questions are
    1. Should I hand quilt it or machine quilt it?
    2. How would you quilt it?

I used batiks and the back is also a batik. I have never hand quilted a batik but have been told it can be done it is just a little harder to get smaller stitches

Beautiful. No help on the quilting part. Give it a try and decide for yourself.:)

If you have some leftover fabrics, try hand and machine quilting a practice piece and see what you like best.

I would machine quilt it and do an over all meander or something similar. Nice quilt.

you could do 'big' stitches. they are popular right now and look like sashiko. just need to be nice and consistent (even).
