    Just check out boxing. This is the difference between Featherweight and a Heavyweight. Like a Volkswagen and a Hummer. I just love that picture.

    I didn't realize the size difference. That would be terrific to take to retreats or classes. Now you have me joining the search for a FW.

    I just LOVE mine. It actualy makes a prettier, perfectly even stitch than either of my newer computerized machines. I take it to classes, I take it when I travel. Nothing better than my little FW for that. I even used to use it in the living room to piece on while watching tv. Now that I have the 1917 Singer model 66 "red eye" treadle (my avatar), I use her to piece on downstairs. You CANNOT beat the old singers for perfect stitches and reliability.

    I did the same thing when I got my FW last month. They look so cute, then you put them next to the big Pfaff and they look even cuter! :)

    And that's the truth!! Went to a quilt retreat and all the ladies (5) that I was with had Featherweights at our table and the others had their huge machines and ours just purred along.
