    I really like the second, but would prefer more narrow white strips between. Seems that the rows and a little disconnected with the larger white areas between. Guess if you are embroidering lots of names, it would not be so noticable. It is really a lovely quilt and I know your mom will be honored.

    cute idea, be sure to use a pigma pen (permanent) for them to sign the blocks can buy them at Walmart, Joann's etc.

    ilike the second one make sure you use a none bleeding pen you sure came up with a lovely idea
