    I bought the blue, black and red at Joann's for a quilt for my husband too.

    Great job! I saw some of those fabrics at JoAnns, but didn't have an idea as to what to put them with. My grandson would love some like this.

    I have used several of those fabrics too!
    It is a pretty block, but as you said, you lose some because there is not much contrast.

    I think it looks gorgeous and I can clearly see the flying geese. Nothing wrong with the darker fabrics together.
