Gail B - A fried pie is fruit! And an excellent way to fool your body into thinking it's healthy, and it's deep fried, so therefore delicious. But as we all know, delicious = not good for you

A fried pie is made with a special crust that you roll out into a circle. You put pie filling of any kind in it and fold over and crimp with your fingers. Then, you fry in a skillet with about 1/4 to 1/2 inch or cooking oil. They are wonderful!

That is so cool and especially since a 96 year old woman made it.

The quilt is so adorable! She really does nice work. That is fantastic that she can still do some of the things she loves. I have never had a fried pie. Is it a little single serve type pie? Sounds good to me!
