I agree, Delilah, I don't care for heavy quilting. And I also agree that overall quilting will 'muddy' the star pattern. But as she wants to longarm the quilting, I don't think she can do SITD or outlining, at least not without ruler work or a ton of practice. I can hardly LA a straight line without difficulty after 3 years of practice
Thats exactly what I don't want to do is 'muddy' the quilt definitely not over quilt it. Something soft is what I'm after and it seems I always SITD. I thought about just SITD up to the star and see if that would make it pop out a little on the back. Still thinking-the help is great. It's helping me think in different directions!
