    Default Hunters Star

I have been catching up on my quilting!

Hunters Star pattern from Fat Quarter Shop, the method that she uses has some waste, but I am turning it into lots of HST’s which are always useful.
All Batiks from my stash including the background fabric. Backed with Minky in loden green and soft and bright batting. Quilted on my Innova using an edge to edge leaf panto with So Fine brown thread. I must say that I adore using Minky as a backing and I wish I had started using So Fine threads earlier, what a dream to work with!
Came out 72 x 90 and will be my winter throw for my couch. Now back to binding my next quilt, I have 2 more that I hope to get quilted next week. Thanks for looking!

What a great winter-time throw, looks so pretty and cuddly! The leafy quilting pattern on the minky looks fab as well.

Beautiful! The minky looks so cozy and warm. I like the quilting design you chose and it shows up so lovely on the mnky backing.
I haven't tried So Fine thread yet. Thanks for sharing your lovely quilt pictures!

What a beautiful Hunter's Star, one of my favorite patterns. Your batiks look lovely and I adore Minky as a backing too, and how it really showcases the quilting.

A lovely example of Hunter's Star. Subtle colors are calming. Should move this pattern from "someday" to my "to do" list.
