    So that's what the pine beetles are doing to the trees! It makes for interesting wood. That's a lovely magazine box your DH has made.

    All i have to do is ask and he will do almost anything.

    That is so funny that they call it Beetle Kill Pine. It may have come from my back yard. We had 13 pine trees removed during in 2008 due to the Bark Beetle. In some places they call the pine wood "Denim Pine" because of the stain left my the beetles. It nice to know that our dead trees are recycled into something so useful. :thumbup:

    Is this wood from the lodge pole pine trees that have been killled by the lodge pole pine bettle? The wood is beautiful.
