I really have to laugh as I've seen so many string quilts that look great and I really do like them. But this is one of those pics that make the quilt look better than it actually is! Some of the fabrics are really ugly and I hate to waste anything--so it makes a great snuggle up quilt as I put flannel on the back side and who cares if the grands wipe their greasy popcorn hands on it.

Again thanks--have done another in primary colors for a baby quilt. Will post when I'm done with it. Despite what you all think I still have problems liking this one :roll:

I love your quilt!!! The scrappier it is, the better I love it!! No one else anywhere has one like it! It's unique and has much charm! Besides that, it's getting more use than your best ones!! You gotta love it for that reason alone!! I forgot to tell you, G, that I love your new avatar and I love baskets!! That one is really nice! :D :D

Thanks n2, When I joined the board I wasn't sure what an avatar was or how to get one. :roll: Once I learned to post I procrastinated and finally last week posted the basket pic. OBTW this is one I donated to the local school fundraiser and my DIL was the lucky recipient LOL--she loves it too. Baskets blocks are 2" finished. Need to make that pattern again.
