    Default I Can Do This!

Yesterday, I saw a pattern for Flying Geese with just half square triangles. I was not sure if it would look good, so this morning I cut enough for one block. I think I am in love! I've wanted to do Flying Geese for many years, but was too chicken. Now I have found the perfect way.

    I am so very happy!

And here's another hint--When you are pressing the HST's, press one to the dark and the other to the light. Then, when you go to sew them together, they will nest and you will have a nice crisp point.

I prefer this way. The traditional way means you cut off the extra triangle and waste fabric.

Great way to make flying geese. I'll have to try this. And thanks to GingerK for the pressing tip.

Beautiful colors! Have you tried the No Waste Flying Geese (4 at a time) Method? It's the same idea as making 2 at a time HST where you're just sewing squares on the diagonal, and no wasting of fabric. I recently worked up the courage to try this method and it was glorious.

One block done. I'm very happy with my points.

Thanks to GingerK for the pressing advice! Sephie I had not heard of that procedure, but might give it try some time.
