ok Ladies, seriously, some of us need to get organized...I don't know how you find some of the tools. I lost a pair of sissors and I didn't find them for a month. But I don't feel so bad about my mess now...lol

Lol, mine is cluttered but I know where everything is. And that's quite a feat since I usually quilt with my 5 and 7 year old daughters but they have their own tools and machines so they leave mine alone.

Hey brushandthimble - I love your idea of binding in a jar. On that thought, I have been wanting a super large fishbowl so I could put all my very old wooden spools of thread (both empty and some left upon them). My reason being it would make a great decorative item since my sewing room serves as guest bedroom. I am sorry, but I am a neat freak and cannot sew without organization. Guess that comes from being a legal secretary for years and the necessity for finding items immediately. My quilting friends cannot understand my order in entire house but again, this is just me and we all sew in an area that speaks to our creativity. So it is what it is for everyone and the most important is keeping the art of quilting alive and well for another generation.

This table is in the middle of the room, the counter does get out of control. Seems when I clean that's when I can't find things.

ok, I have completed 17 bags for our troops, 2 pillow covers for a coworker, embroidered squirrels and acorns on a pair of jamies for another coworker, wrapped a present and did some ironing. Then I cleaned up my room so I can start on a new project and create new chaos. So here's the before and after.
