maxie, you have a beautiful cat. is it a mancoon? your cat looks just like my smokey. mine is a mancoon. i don't think he is full mancoon. but that is what the vet says anyway. my smokey likes to lay under our xmas tree on my quilted tree skirt. the next time i catch him i will have to take a picture and post it. my cats name is spelled the same way too.

Smokey, like all my cats just adopted us when he was about a year old, I think he is about 12 now, his human mam and dad had a drink problem, could not get enough, as well as Smokey they had a female cat who had kittens, they lived out of the back of us though I did not know them, she was his sister, so I guess a bit of incest, the cats I am talking about not the humans, they abandoned the cats, by this time there was only one kitten, I took the female and kitten to our local cat orphanage which I have done work for and they were re-homed together. He is what we call a moggy, heinz 57 , in other words no particular breed, having said that he has no tail and long hair so he could be a one off.
As to the quilt I got the borders on am going to buy some sheeting for the back today. I dont know about anybody else but my cats tend to sleep on our bed, shock horror from the none cat lovers I know, and have a nasty habit of producing fur balls on the quilt, usualy in the early hours of the morning just as I am deep in slumber , so my quilts tend to get washed very regularly so I am loathe to use my new ones.
    Katherine :D

I know what you mean. My Smokey likes to get in our bed too. Hair balls too. But you just got to love them. My cat is about 8 years old. I will have to get a picture posted soon.

    Maxies:
I love your colors and have always loved the tulip pattern. Together they are striking. Your kitty only adds interest and softness to the blanket. Our kitties sleep on our bed, too!
