WOW, how ingenious of you to come up with this ideal. As long as your backing is smooth, I don't see any difficulties. I just always quilted the old fashion way with pins on my Bernina. The drag of the quilt in front is what always bothered me. I never tossed it over my shoulder as so many books told us to.

I use the designs I purchased, the magnet hoop worked great, this is an updated version. I take the ironing table that my hubby made for me and put it against the table that my sewing machine is on that keeps it from falling off. On the left side I use a very tall pan clamped to the table to keep the quilt off the embroidery arm. I quilted a large queen size quilt (93 x 102) in about 3 days
