It looks really nice to me. A friend of mine, a very experienced quilter, dealt with a wonky center on a wall hanging by placing a brooch on it. Since she is an art quilter anyway, people just she was being cool.

Your quote is certainly true and worth remembering. Maybe I should print it out and hang it in my sewing room!

Thanks for you wisdom (and your friend too).

I don't see anything wrong with it. If you are not satisfied with the center points, just make a yo-yo and put it in the center.

I think your wall hanging looks great. I love the colors. Way back when I needed to hide a center, I did a ruched flower of one of the main colors, jazzed it up with some small pearls, and presto! No more center to be seen! DO NOT give it to the dogs! I would keep the quilting simple, until you get the feel of things, turning, stopping, starting, etc. Remember we are our own worst critics. Keep on going!

The only thing I can maybe see would be the center seam not matching........... but I love the block and how about putting a button in the center after the quilting is done and who knows with a little quilting the center might look just fine. Sometimes we are our own worst judge................

I think your star is very pretty. I would not worry about it. A button would look cool.

If this is a first attempt, you did extremely well. Go for it and don't beat yourself up. It will make a nice practice piece that you can embelish to hide anything you don't like, and then hang it as a wallhanging

I had to read to see what it was you were unhappy with... It looked great from the photo.
