I am almost done with my first quilt and it has not been easy using my little Brother LS590, it was all I can afford right now but hopefully in the very near future I can get a better one. I do not ever intend to give up quilting. I am using 4 sheets to make my first quilt, it was a test to see if I had what it takes. I am also totally addicted now.
Hope to show you some pictures soon. My Sony digital camera was free and that is the only way I could get it.
All I use is a brother LS-30. I paid $59.00 for it at WM on clearance 2 yrs ago. I love that machine once I figured out how to baby it. I have made several quilts on mine and can't complain. I have a more expensive brother that my Mom gave me but I prefer the cheaper one.

What a fantastic parcel to receive, really beautiful colours and patterns. I guess quilting can get expensive, but don't forget, it's roots began out of frugality. I often use vintage fabric and cut up clothes, I find it fun and it helps with my budget. I don't have expensive machines and if you look at many of the beautiful quilts displayed by members here, many are made with treadles and quite basic machines.
