    nice scrappy...I too seem to have that same issue, I can never come up a good color scheme on a scrappy that looks good, I think I over think the scrappy....after all....IT IS A SCRAPPY!!!! I luv the piano keys!!!

    How adorable! You can't go wrong with using the same light fabric throughout when doing a scrappy quilt and using either warm or cool colors, not both. The scrappy quilt I'm currently working on has several different lights and I was thinking that next time, I'm going to use just one light. It looks so fresh!

    It's a great scrappy. I too struggled with scrappy quilts, as I tended to make very coordinated quilts - then I started making family reunion quilts, which were completely scrappy from the fabric my family sent to make it. My family loves the quilts, and although I may choose a color or group of colors (red/white/blue) I am sometimes challenged to include some of the "klunker" fabrics, but they always turn out beautiful. At least I've loosened up my OCD and perfectionism, which is a good thing. It's made me grow as a quilter as well.
