    You could add just enough of fabric all around to allow your binding to cover it....then both rows of checkerboard would be visible.

    I think it will be fine...you will take 1/4" and it won't detract from the checkerboard. BTW...it's beautiful!!!

    Use any left over fabrics and make a rainbow colored binding :-D

    Sharon- that is a good idea...and I thought of that last night when I couldn't sleep. Debbie Mumm uses that technique in her early books when she used checkboard borders! Lots of great input- thanks everyone! Now I just have to decide :roll: That will be tough!
