    Default I finished a quilt!!!!

I’ve been a garment sewer since dinosaurs roamed the earth, but have now caught the quilting bug. Though they both cut up fabric and sew them back together again, they really are two different hobbies!

I mistakenly thought that an applique quilt would be less work than a pieced quilt. It was plenty of work. Appliqués are from kreative kiwi jungle collection and forest collection.

I FMQ’ed stippling all over, as I felt that would be the most forgiving quilting design for my first time out the gate. Probably was. I didn’t do Angela Walter’s challenge, but I thought her wood grain design would be good for the borders. Not perfect, but finished is better than perfect, right? At least that’s what I tell myself!

Had some crazy tension problems……hopefully baby doesn’t notice!!!

Will have to wait until nephew is born in a month or so to add the label. Hope he likes it!!

Go easy on me with your critiques….everyone was a beginner once ;-)

You did a great job on your first quilt, so don't be too hard on yourself. The baby will love it and won't ever know if there's a mistake that you see.
