That is a lovely quilt, and I like your choice of fabrics too. She and Jo Morton are my favorite repro designers.

Very nice. Really like the colors. How long did it take to quilt on your machine?

Yes, I did. I spray basted the quilt, put a pin in each shoo fly block, sew a big stitch around the outside edge, drew lines on it with crayola washable marker, wore quilting gloves, nested, started wih the center block, then the other blocks, then the sashing and last the outer edge.

I just kept thinking I did the center block so I can do any of the other ones. I also had a big table space in front of me, to the left of me and to the left back of me. I went small sections at a time. When I got frustrated or overwhelmed I just walked away. I also kept the quilt designs very simple and to a minimum. I did use warm and natural which does not need that much quilting. It is defnitely not long arm quilted but I think it looks cute.

Less then two weeks and I took many, many breaks along the way. The quilting on it is minimal and simple. I am so glad I planned it that way. It actually took almost as long to design, make quilt templates and draw lines on the quilt.
