You are doing it right it just looks funny at the start a group of us did this together as a Christmas runner last year and after the first strips things were easier. We all used steam on this runner even some of us die hards that were taught never to use steam!Press not iron is the key.

You are spot on.. it just looks weird to begin with! Great job :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: I had to sew all of my strips and lay it all out before I stitched it together because I thought I had messed up,lol. Once I layed all pieces out, it made sense. :-D

Use steam and PRESS, not iron..... Avoid steam when working with bias strips, which these are not......

Glad to hear other people had problems "seeing" this pattern while putting it together at first. After you get the first couple strips sewn on, it all comes together. It's a very pretty table runner and your colors are great! Once you get the first one done, you will probably want to make another. I did :wink: Nice work! :thumbup:
