THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!! I have 2 baby quilts & a queen size summer quilt that need to be sandwiched. The idea of crawling around on the floor with by now bad back seemed a bit overwhelming! I can start this tomorrow!

My DMIL came over unexpectedly one day last week and said, "I just have to ask, JoAnn, why do you have a sheet hanging on your hallway wall?" She was quite perplexed when I told her that I spray baste my quilt sandwiches on that wall. I love this method! The sheet protects the wall from overspray mishaps, saves my back and ensures that the layers will be perfectly smooth with very little effort in a very short amount of time. By the way, DH was the one who told me to do this so I have his full blessing :)

Hey, what he doesn't know isn't going to hurt him! I hung my quilting felt board in the hallway, it had gromments in it and I used those 3M hooks that you can remove without damaging the walls to hang it up.

I spend a lot of time in my hallway staring at the wall!

excellent idea! maybe i can put some near the pictures hanging and he won't notice them! lol! he wouldn't say anything about me doing that anyways. he is pretty good about stuff like that.
and IF i had damaged the wall with the duct tape, it would be on me to fix it. lol

You have given me inspiration to be more daring and know just the spot I am going to try---when dh is out of the house, of course. If it's a success with no mishaps, THEN I'll share. Looks like it will work like a charm though. Patsy Thompson's video was very encouraging. She has such a calming voice, makes me have lots of self-confidence.

I love the quilt -- spray? Neat idea for smallish quilt -- I will try that on my next baby quilt -- most of my quilts tend to be big (extra wide king or queen) so I'm trying fusible batting for my next one despite the initial stiffness since doing the spray in sections doesn't work for me and I'm usually too impatient to pin and baste by hand -- oh well, everything can't be easy -- also sending quilt tops out to be dealt with isn't within my quilting budget (or maybe I'm just cheap or is it being thrifty?)
