Each block has a very special meaning. The second picture in the second row was fabric from a lady who had breast cancer at that time. The block with the lighthouse was a picture of a lighthouse in Nova Scotia and all of the small pieces around that block came from ladies in Nova Scotia. We meet with most of these people once a year, so I know most all of the personally. I got hot pads, Dr. Suess boxer shorts, you name it, it came and I had to figure out a way to use all of those items. It was fun. Each year when we meet I take the quilt and some of the people not represented will bring me a pin, button, or something that identifies their personality.
