Hi everybody! I got new templates today. Thank you Rhonda!!! These are my first templates and let me tell you, they are just so darn cute!!! They are so little! I showed them to my DH and he said, "What do you do with those?" I told him, "I don't know but aren't they cute?" :P  I'm not sure whether you're suppose to use these templates or if they are just to go in your miniatures collections or if they are decorations for your sewing room.

Anyways, I was tired of working on my Field of Diamonds quilt so I decided that I'd play with my new templates. I made a Jacob's Ladder block with them. It is so cute!!! It's only 6 1/2". If any of you know what I'm really suppose to do with these little templates, I'd love to know. Do they make patterns for tiny quilts?? I had a ball making this block and it's so cute!

I also like tiny miniatures which is one of the reasons that I think the templates are so cute. Here's a picture. The 3 smallest ones even have the lines on them.

Hi Leota. I did a search for Rhonda because she gives these templates away. If you are interested in them you could contact her. Guess what I found when I got on her list of topics? Rhonda has a post titled, "Templates for minis and quilt blocks". That answers the question to my post and here's a link to her post.

Your work is very pretty. Thanks also, for the Tutorial on Capenter's Star. I tried it from your directions and cut it out and put it together in one afternoon. Thanks for sharing that with us. Now I really want to make a big one.

What beautiful, meticulous work. I'd love to see a full size quilt made of those JL minis! Wanna do it? I don't have the patience! LOL

Aww--the mama and baby blocks look so darn cute. It'd be cool to make a quilt with both sizes!

LOL I think you figured out what to do with the templates just fine!! I love your Jacob's ladder.

You can search my name and see all the posts I have done showing what I make with them. The most recent one is on Keychains I am making now.

I use them to make hotpads checkbook covers whatever. I have a bunch of tutorials you can use them in. Here are my links for the tutorials. I originally offered the templates to go with the EBooks I have out but you can use them any way you want!

The 1 1/2" is the one I use the most for everything. It was offered to allow people to try miniatures when I released my Boston Block Ebook. It is a shortcut I call the cut down method. You sew swatches together and then cut out a block from the center. You can see this method on my free teaching website Bits n Pieces Workshop. The link is below. Then I released my book Dresden Kaleidoscope book and that is the thin plastic blade template.
Then the Star Point block Ebook called for a new template so I offered the 1 1/4" template just so people could try the smaller size if they wanted to.
The 4Th book is my Bed Quilts Blocks and Borders which is on my Wings Block so it uses the 3" clear acrylic with the line scored and the 2 1/2" template so people could make a 12 1/2" quilt block with the wings blocks if they wanted to.

so If you have any questions just ask and I will be happy to help!
