    Great Treasure, I have heard that The Amish do that one error
    to show that no one is perfect and this is what they meant to do I'm sure :-D :thumbup:

    Lovely quilt. That error looks like an old telephone.

    That was my first idea too. Your GGM might have just gotten a telephone put in and wanted to brag about the event. If I, at 77, can remember when we first got electricity back on the farm, then why couldn't your GGM remember her first phone?

    On the other hand, she may simply have run out of fabric for the quilt and "made do" as most did at that time.
