I have a fabric angel, too!

Joanne, love the dark reds. Just made photos of my stash & your gifts would go well with mine. For some reason I've found red again, red shoes, etc. My Mom bought me red clothes out the Gazoo in 60's from Spiegels & for years I wouldn't wear red, after I left home. Funny how we have favorite colors & then they change. You'll have so much fun deciding what to make. Pet your fabric while you're deciding on patterns and know that this is the way Angels give back to you for all the beautiful quilts you've given away.

Now are you sure it was a fabric angel or was it really a fabric devil in disguise lol
I can't wait to see what you start making with all of it! Just fantastic!
My fabric angel is my mother. She volunteers at a rummage sale twice a year and twice a year she gets me a $20 black garbage bag full of fabric on the last day of the sale. There has been a lot of stinkers fabric (things I know I will never in a million years use) but for the most part there has been some amazing material in there... so now I have boxes of fabric that I need to get on asap since I think I'm nearing that category that your friend is in. Definitely time for me to get quilting!!

I forgot to mention that the non-keepers are going where my Angel would have donated them if I hadn't popped into her life - the Congregational Church nearby.
I decided to prewash the fabrics, because I don't know how old they are. Good thing I did, even with Color Grabber sheets, some took 3 wash/rinse cycles to give up the excess dyes. The worst, so far, were the dark pinks. I haven't finished the burgundies, though :? DH asked me to slow down - our septic started crying uncle. Fortunately, only with clear water. We had the septic pump guy come out yesterday. It was due anyway; I just 'reminded' DH with all my washing :? :?
