I have the 'Cubed' book - the explanations are very clear, instructions easy to follow, well worth the purchase - or see if your local library carries any of them, or your local quilt guild library has copies :)

The technique is straight sewing, no y-seams.
Careful tho, very addicting!! lol

I highly recommend buying the book.. I read through it carefully.. and I took it with me to the cutting board.. lol.. the hard part is putting the blocks together.. each block is really three different blocks depending on how you turn the triangles.. for the 6 sided one at least..
DD and I cut more blocks out tonight and played some more.. we are ready to take it to the floor (no design wall here) and begin to figure out how to place them... I'll take pics again soon and repost.. this is so much fun... please.. do this!
