Billy is really busy, tho, so be prepared to wait for his reply. Lots of us own these fine machines, tho, and can help you in the meantime.

I just learned - back clamper vs side clamper:
refers to the location of screw and the orientation of attaching feet to the machine. This 66 is so old that the feet attach from the back, not side of the presser bar as later models do. That means replacements will be harder to find for ruffler, gatherer, etc. I do have attachments, so not a problem. But things like walking foot may not be available. I am not going to complain - I'm just excited to have this for piecing and general sewing.
Thanks for your kind comments - I never dreamed I'd really own a treadle, but have been hoping.

Gorgeous machine & nice story behind her. Now it's time to put some mileage on her!

I am supposed to pick my red-eye treadle up Sunday. I'm so excited. From the pictures it looks like we have a pair of separated twins.LOL. I hope you have as much fun with yours as I plan to on mine.

I would love to find a treadle machine. Seems like we have a power outage or two about every winter. Would be so nice to have a treadle to sew on at those times!!
