I can understand you excitement. Question, in the first couple of pictures where you have strips hanging, what are they for? I know that you mentioned book markers later.

i don't know how you moved around in your old room. now you really will have room to 'breathe'. good for you. also i notice another watercolor coming along. can't wait to see that one.

do you cut all your fabric into 2.5 strips as soon as they enter the house or just as you begin a quilt that calls for them?

(ahem) now that you're all settled and it's cold, where's buddy's room?

    Karla,
Luv your new sewing space...I was just wondering what you used to wrap your fabric around before you arranged it on your shelves?? Is it just cardboard or something else?

Ooo--lots of things!! All the ones on the right ladder, and some on the middle, are for log cabins. The others are all left over strips from a variety of projects. I will use them in strip quilts eventually. I've made several blocks, and one wall hanging so far. The wall hanging sold. I have pictures if you'd like. The bookmark strips aren't left out because I mostly do them for my students. I have fabric that has all their interests on it--so I save it away until next year. If I make bookmarks to sell, it's usually the flower fabric.

No---I don't cut any fabric unless I have a plan. I've never cut a strip that wide--too easy. Well, unless it's for a border.

Buddy... Mark's love. All Buddy has to do is breathe for Mark to say "good dog!"

Woohoo! Look at all that space! Great idea on the room switch. I mean, how much room do books need anyways? :)

I'm looking forward to seeing that floral watercolor. Looks like it'll be a beauty!
