I think I got the tension issue fixed, but I will definetly try the daigonal thing that you mentioned Grandmother 23.

She came with the manual, so I don't have to worry about that..whew! I'm such a novice that if it hadn't had the manual, I could have never gotten her threaded!

I found a great web site telling how to load the bobbin and thread it...so thats great! Here is the link if anyone else needs it...it has great pics.

It doesn't have a foot pedal with it, maybe it either didn't come with one, or it got lost. the knee control looks alot like a foot pedal though.

Thanks for the infor on the belts from Krogers!

sandpat, Thanks so much for that link. I did not get a manual with my machine and have not printed one off yet so did not have this info. Love the pictures showing the threading of the bobbin. Very clear.

sandpat, Oh good idea. I had not thought that maybe the tutorial would/could disappear. Better go print it out too. This is going to be an interesting experience for both of us!!!

    Oh Patti!
    What a wonderful find!

I'm looking for a cheap, good shape treadle in case you find one!

I love your new baby, such a pretty cabinet.

Thanks MJ...are you checking Craig's list? I'll keep my eyes open for one and if I don't snap it up..I'll let you know. You might check with lostn51, he might have one or know of one and he isn't all that far from us.

Pat, I'm pretty sure that the "knee" pedal is a combination...you can leave it snapped into the holder to use your knee, or you can take it out and set it on the floor...it sure looks like it does anyway.
