Anyway, it's my most perfectly matched quilt so far!! haha! Didn't think that would ever happen...lol..Thank you so much, Tartan!!
Well done, it's all that practice you have been doing lately! I LOVE this pattern and think I may have to pinch it! Can't wait to see the pictures of it finished! Give yourself a great big pat on the back, it's fantastic!

Thank you, dweeks, for your nice compliments! This block is not exactly Aunt Sukey's Choice as the star points around the 4P center block are all solid whereas they are open areas in Aunt Sukey's. I would say it is a variation of the block. I've seen some other blocks similar to this also. Here are a few links for you. The second link is from quiltwoman and her pattern has a square-in-a-square as the center block and its name is "Junk to Jems" pattern and sells for $9. It's the same pattern in Clotilde's Jan.'12 issue and called Junk to Jems. Here are the links:

I've also seen the block where it was not connected to the next block diagonally but had sashings and the blocks were disjoined. I sure like the one I did the most as it eliminates the need for sashing and others may have to square it up, but I sure did not squaring up and loved the way it turned out so nice and square for a change. haha. Thanks again for your help in naming the block. p.s. I'm saving everyone $9 by using my own pattern!

p.s. I forgot to say welcome to the QB from VA! You will love all you see and read here!

Thank you, Carrie! No, wrappable is not a word, but we can use it here and we sure know what you mean by using that word! I think it describes the quilt perfectly! Let's go for it!

Raedar, you can always find the link in my signature area of my avatar -- it's the first link! Can't wait to see your version! Have fun making it -- it's really easy to do and I love 'no sashing needed' at all! One less thing to deal with! haha. Thank you and am so happy you'll be making it!

but your instructions are easy too follow
There are different names and variations of the Aunt Sukey's Choice block. Here's my response to another quilter's query about it:

Thank you, Izy! This sure is a GREAT scrap pattern. I knew it when I saw the quilt done that I just had to try it. No matter what colors you use, it'll look fantastic! Yea, guess it's all that practice I'm getting in, but it sure helped having those locking intersections! You'll definitely have to give this one a try and we know you'll have a winner of color combinations! You're so talented putting those scraps together! We will look forward to seeing what you can do with this one! haha!

Scrappy is my favorite, and I'm working on my 4th scrappy now. This one will be added to the "wanna-do" list, until I"m out of scraps (like that will happen - not) I love your project.
