    what a tribute to your father I still have my father but my mother has been gone since 1997 i wish i had quilted then she would be with me now during this cold

    This is wonderful! My Daddy passed this year and I would have loved to have some of his shirts for a quilt, but I didn't get to get any. You are so lucky.

    Such a beautiful quilt which will be treasured. It's given me an idea too as I also lost my father and FIL within 6mths of each other. Think I'm going to be busy!

    I'm so sorry to hear of your Dad's passing. You made your Mom a beautiful gift that I know she's going to love and cherish. I really like the idea of embroidering around the edge.

    So sorry for your loss. The quilt is absolutely beautiful & I hope that you Mother can find some peace & wonderful memories as she wraps herself in the warmth of the quilt. I love "DOTTYMO's" suggestion for spaying it with aftershave.
