It's a curtain to encourage Mazie to not poke her head between the front seats when she's riding. :D She snuffles my ear when she does that. She's tied, but can come forward a few inches too far. I don't want to tie her shorter or she can't eat.

I made a quilted rectangle for the top--to be soft when she's hanging her head over it or to help protect her neck if she fell into it. Then I just turned some pieces inside out for the skirt--and zigzagged the quilted piece onto the skirt at the top and bottom. Done! I'll introduce her to it tomorrow.

Oh--and I've had the same needle plate on my machine for quilting for so long, I wanted to have fun with it today--so I added the names of my "heart herd." (see story in chit chat)

You were expecting a quilt top?

She was going under the strap today--before I added this--when I took her for a spin. I wanted the others to see, once more and especially now, that she'll come back. When she does go under, it's too hard to drive!

That's so thoughtful and darling! She'll love it. Horses are such great pets; I sure miss the one we had when I was a teen. Bet she'll still snuzzle you anyway - they love doing that!! :-) 8) :!:
