    I love your fabric and blocks. If you think it is too busy, adding sashing and maybe corner stones should help tone it down.

    I have been trying this kalidascope thing and have read somewhere that you should have more white background in your large print..I love the fabric choice but maybe it is too busy for what you are trying to achieve.

    It is a little busy but I think it would work if you cut the squares smaller - you're not really chopping those flowers up enough to get a strong kaleidoscope effect. Also by cutting the squares smaller, you would intensify the different colours more and so reduce the busy-ness. :-D

    I think a sashing would look nice. But I would lay out all the blocks then see if it is too busy.

    I like the fabric and I like the 4 patch posey but I do think you lose the effect that it's pieced. It doesn't read as a repeat unless you study it. JMHO :D

    Joyce, that is exactly what I was afraid of - that the repeat design is hard to see. Thanks.
