Joyce, that is exactly what I was afraid of - that the repeat design is hard to see. Thanks.
Have you tried a smaller block size? ... and frame it up with a darker sashing? both as suggested previously. Just lay some darker fabric on the blocks you have made and shrink it down to about 1/2 the size. You will see the colours pop totally differently.

Right now, it's kind of like, you can't see the forest for the trees! (or you can't see the kaleido effect for so much else in the background.)

I like your blocks and the way you have the flowers coming together in the center. I think though I would use the sashing between blocks.

What size quilt are you going to make? Looking at the original fabric, I'm wondering if you are going to get enough "different" looking blocks to make each of them pop up and be noticed.

They look good but it's not the usual look for that pattern. I think if it was mine I'd decide if it was the look I wanted and if it was, I'd continue on, if not, it looks like you haven't invested too much time, I'd set it aside for another project. It will work up lovely but I have had projects that I wasn't particularly happy with for some reason and they weren't fun to make and the whole process became more of a drudgery then fun. It's your call. You know yourself.

I like it too! I think some sashing would help break up the blocks and give it more fluidity. Can't wait to see it finished!

I have never done anything w/ flowers but do agree w/ the plain sashing.
