I would use the purple as one and the blue polka dot as the outer boarder. The material for the wide boarder you have showing is a total different colour tone. The center of quilt is too bright for that muted wide boarder.

I wouldn't use the purple. The blocks in the quilt bleed into the border if matching fabrics touch. Besides, I love that blue bubble fabric. I used every smidgeon of mine - I see a trip to the quilt store in my future. I think your outer border will work with the blue to brighten it.

That's what I think too.
Oops was supposed to have the previous quote that said to use the purple and blue, but not the wide one you have as the outer. Coloring is to different.
Love the colors of the quilt though. Very cheery
