    the balance of the blocks is much better in the last 2 additions of pics! LOVE THEM! would lose the gray border!IF you feel you need another a inner black would really pop the blocks!

    try putting the same blocks going diagonally and see if you like that any better.

    I think the second arraingement is on the right path. Swap the bottom right with the center block, that might help with balence.

    This is what I was thinking also. To take that black to the center with the rest and pull the lighter color to the corner to match the other corners. But as long as you find a setting you like is what is important.
