I do have more fabric but these are the big pieces.
Here is what I did, I just took it all out and refolded it and
now it's somewhat color coated. Oh I LOVE this. Thanks for all of your help.
I'll be posting a project that I've started that's PP.

Something that might help maximize the storage on your shelves:
Measure them - if they are 36 by 12, for example, if you fold your fabric so that the pieces end up being appoximately 11 x 11, they stack nicely.
If one uses a piece of cardboard or plexiglass for a measuring guide, that helps to get consistent folds.
It's the really large and very small pieces (snibbles) that are the storage puzzlers for me.
PS - your shelves look very neat and tidy. It should be easy for you to locate what you are looking for.

Found this site which I think might help you with your organization, then when you get this down pat, you can come and organize mine:-}

I sort my folded fabrics by value, light, medium and dark. Then I can see at a glance if I am low or overstocked on certain values. I have been working on getting my sewing room organized again. It seems spring inspires us to do that! Or maybe it's the mess from a winters worth of sewing..haha

I am resorting my fabric right now. I bought a set of cubes at Target.com and have half of them put together. Hopefully I can get the other half put together to night. I love the folding idea. I will try and remember to post some pics when I am all done.
I have to get outside and work in my yard and flower beds but it has been raining all day and is way toooo muddy. I'm so glad I don't have to make the choice of where to go and work tonight after work :)
