    Try placing an item on it to give you a different perspective. I think once you stitch it down and bind it it'll look totally different.

    On a scrap piece of the background fabric try doing a blanket stitch, or zig-zag stitch in metallic gold thread. Metallics can be a little pesky, but be sure you use the correct needle size for the thread. The gold would add an angelic touch. But absolutely don't give up! It is going to be beautiful!     Put some simple faces on them and halo's. I like the idea of putting colored strips between the angels....Once they are quilted I bet you change your mind!! :thumbup: :-D

    For the hair you could even use short pieces of yarn or floss. I think you've got a great start and certainly not trash worthy.
