    Love your blocks!!! I would put sashing between the blocks, that would help with the green not looking as dark. WOW, really do love your bird blocks. Great job!

    IMHO, while you have made 4 lovely blocks, I think they might have been better with more value contrast in your quilt. The wonderful fussy cut birds come off as the same as the background, which lowers the effectiveness of your work. I think I agree with the person who said you might audition a lighter color, maybe a pale green or tan, as a narrow sashing between blocks.

    my first thought was your blocks make me think of birdhouses and lots of green in the backgroud fits!!!! go for it,, its great

    I think sashing would draw attention AWAY from the birds. I don't think it's too dark. Are you going to make more blocks? If you are, alternating darks and lights is a good idea. You've done a great job of highlighting each bird's color within the block.

    If you leave it without sashing you will end up with a nice green area between the rows for some pretty quilting. Maybe a bird?
