You will love sewing on that. It looks a lot like an old Bernina I bought a few years ago.

I have one just a little younger. Almost 50 years old and still sews like a beast. They are truly work horses.

My Aunt has that exact machine! At 89 she still uses it and loves it!! Hope it does you well, too.

That is a wonderful machine, I know because I bought mine new in 1962 and it still works even tho I have several newer machines, they are not made as well as this one. Treasure her and take care of her and she will love you back!

Seeing your pics really make me miss my old singer very much. Had her for many years until her main axle or whatever broke and would cost more than worth ---so I was told--- now I wonder......have since had three "new" machines.....not worth their prices.....if I can ever find a dup of my original friend, I will grab it. Btw, still have the desk, similar to yours...built like they don't today!

Nice machine. As much as I love my Janome 4000, I look back on my first sewing machine, which I swear could sew through leather without blinking an eye, then I got a Kenmore who really preferred sewing on heavier fabric than it did cotton. My first 2 machines were very heavy though as they were made of metal, instead of plastic.
