    but I know what I did. I was making a "faux" bowtucks bags because I always liked them but never want to spring for the pattern. I see so many beautiful ones on this board that I just had to try. I did a pretty good job of figuring it out but the one part I have done on many other bags-I messed up royally! I boxed it sideways! At least I know I can make one and will NEVER (one can hope) make that mistake again. I guess I got to excited to finish near the end and stopped thinking b/c I was at something I had done before.
    So disappointing.

    Next time I'll do much better!

    I guess I can't see the mistake - I think you did great - I wouldn't have the vaguest idea how to start without a pattern.
