Yup, that's the way mine looks too during and after a quilt project, I eventually get around to vacuuming the space to see through the clutter to start another project and keep the debris in the room rather than throughout the house. My intention down the road is to replace the carpet with wood floors so its easier to pick up.

A friend of mine saves all the little fabric scraps and uses them for stuffing for dog beds she makes and gives to the Humane Society.....So we all save our throw away scraps and give to her.

What's her address? I just gave away a bunch of old fabric to my sisternlaw but if I have more, I'd like to give it for a good cause.

With a cat that likes to try to commit suicide on threads and an infant that likes to taste everything, nary a scrap hits my floor! I put a grocery bag over the post of my chair and throw as I sew! Can't wait to have a dedicated room for sewing with a door that closes (and locks)...cuz who know's what it will look like then!!!

Me too. I only want to handle the scrap once; plus it is less to have "reattach" itself to me or what I'm working on. Besides, the cats have enough toys.
